A Dedicated Piano Instructor
I have been a professional pianist and keyboard player for over 30 years. A specialist in jazz improvisation, classical and popular music. My work has included recording, radio, concerts, tours, festivals across the UK and abroad including Germany, The Netherlands, Poland and Ukraine. I have been teaching piano and keyboard for over 20 years privately from my own home and also at schools in Leicestershire. My qualifications include- CT ABRSM Teaching (Royal Academy of Music, London), Grade 8 Piano ABRSM, Grade 5 Theory ABRSM.

Glenn has been a most kind and patient piano tutor for my thirteen year old son Tom. He has made the lessons both fun and purposeful. Glenn gives clear, written feedback of progress made, with targets for practice, after every lesson. After my son had learned some of the basics, and passed his first exam, he started to develop an interest in learning more contemporary chart music and wished to have a break from the more traditional music that is involved with exam grading. Glenn was happy to listen and discuss this with Tom. He then individually tailored the lessons to suit by introducing chords and encourage my son’s changing interests, so as to keep him inspired and motivated. Glenn has also been most flexible during the Initial early Covid Crisis lockdown, and my son was able to continue with his lessons safely from home via the Zoom app, before returning to his lessons with Glenn at school.  It worked well, as we attached my son’s phone to a camera tripod so that Glenn could easily see the keyboard, to give accurate, live guidance. If you want a piano teacher that is kind, flexible and has a wealth of knowledge with all types of genres of music, then I fully recommend Glenn.
